T.J.

Miserable day. Early this morning my eldest cat TJ who's somewhere between 18 and 22 years old got into an altercation with either our other cat or worse our dog and suffered a nasty laceration to the bridge of his nose. It's caused quite a bit of bleeding out of his nose and his face is pretty swollen. I've been by his side all day worried whether he would make it through. I would have just taken him to the vet but here we are the day after payday at 0 due to other circumstances.

August to January are the worst months for me. It's cold, finances are hamstrung due to school and birthdays and then there's halloween, thanksgiving, and christmas costs, inevitably I get sick. I know we'll make it but it's certainly a worrisome time of year.

I just hope I don't have to go through the next few months without by old man TJ. I know eventually he'll be gone. It's a fact of life. I've had way too many animals to think otherwise. So I'm prepared for it. But being prepared doesn't make me eager or make me like it.
